We believe that: Trying assistive technology is a good idea. Being able to compare products from different manufacturers is even better. Borrowing equipment to use at home, on the road, in school or in the gym is a smart move too. To help you do all of that, ATinNH sponsors four centers. |
ATinNH Equipment Loan at UNH
Located at the University of New Hampshire's Durham campus, ATinNH offers a variety of assistive technologies for loan to anyone who is interested in trying out or exploring a piece of equipment before purchasing it. Please follow this link to our resource page for a list of equipment available.
Equipment should be requested through e-mail or by telephone. We will let you know when it is available for pick-up.

Technology Exploration Center
Specializing in computer access solutions, the TEC Lab has a wide variety of adaptive keyboards, mice, alternate input devices and many of the most popular adaptive software packages, all for exploration, demonstration. The TEC Lab coordinator, Leo Benoit, is available to facilitate anyone interested in trying out computer access equipment. Refurbished Equipment Marketplace
The Refurbished Equipment Marketplace reutilization program offers explorations and demonstrations of hundreds of mobility products, power and manual wheelchairs, hospital beds, bath equipment, positioning devices, etc. They often have a wide variety of equipment within the same categories that make comparison shopping between manufacturers, different styles, features, and price points, possible. Northeast Passage Equipment Rental
The Northeast Passage Equipment Rental Program provides state of the art adapted recreation equipment at a reasonable cost. This program allows individuals the opportunity to try equipment before making a purchase and/or use the equipment on an as needed basis for occasional activities. Many people use the program's equipment to facilitate independent access to participation on family vacations, school field trips, and for health promotion.
Equipment is available for up to two weeks at a time depending on availability. Reservations are on a first-come-first-served basis and a $75 deposit is required for all rentals. Rates are $15/day, $55/week, $90/2 weeks for each piece rented. Pictures and a list of all equipment for rent can be seen at http://www.nepassage.org/rentals.html.
